Charlie 316 by Colin Conway and Frank Zafiro

Charlie 316 by Colin Conway and Frank Zafiro

Rating: 5 dirty politics stars.

Summary: A patrol officers is involved in a questionable deadly shooting in which he is ambushed. When investigators start digging through the evidence many questions arise. The politicians become involved and a unholy mess overtakes a great cop novel.

Comments: A brutal cops cop novel with top notch dialogue and suspense. It’s fair to say that the follow up will be even better. I can not wait. Think Kent Anderson’s Night Dogs with politics as a side dish. Highly recommend.

Hard Cash Valley by Brian Panowich

Hard Cash Valley by Brian Panowich

Rating: 4 Redhawk stars

Summary: A GBI detective is called into action to solve the grisly slaying of a loser drug dealer with a crabby FBI investigator. The nonstop action leads back to some double crosses and solutions to past crimes.

Comments: I’m not a big fan of anything Ruger, but a .44 is a .44.

The End of October by Lawrence Wright

The End of October by Lawrence Wright

Rating: 5 ending stars.

Summary: A world renown cdc doctor finds the beginning of a unknown virus. As the world crumbles rapidly with war and a new pandemic Henry search’s for the cure to having the world as we know it end.

Comments: The book had to have been written well before our current events. But the timing could not have been scarier. A highly recommended book for what could and still is quite possible. Page turner! Everyone will be affected. Wright certainly understands the world around us.

A King of Infinite Space by Tyler Dilts

A King of Infinite Space by Tyler Dilts

Rating: 4.5 stabbing stars

Summary: A brutal murder of a beloved high school teacher in her classroom leaves two police detectives searching for the killer.

Comments: A pretty straightforward police procedural with some solid ingredients. Many plot points lack details and could have been explored deeper. There is enough here to read more from a Dilts.
