Summary: Four childhood friends create a life time pact to keep secret there involvement in a self defense killing of a neighborhood boy. The story is mainly centered around Hutch a young man with political aspirations that come to life in the second half of this fine novel.

Comments: Robin Yocum is the most underrated crime writer that deserves a large readership. Great books.

Comments: A propulsive page turning nightmare for a everyday family with some marital secrets unwraps it’s self slowly but timely. An outstanding novel of suspense much like Gillian Flynn and our midwestern roots. Highly recommended.

Comments: My last in the library from Martin Clark so I’d suggest he get busy, because this read was wonderful fun as always.

Summary: told from the perspective of three main characters a story of the opioid crises in Eastern Kentucky and surrounding area. A family of heroin sellers is found murdered in there drug operations base. The DEA agents try and track down the killers they must deal with the addicts that are dying in front of them.

Comments: J Todd Scott writes a novel not many could write based on his experience as a DEA agent. Must read.

Summary: The City of Spokan is in a chaotic state affairs with misbehaving city council members. A note the mayor receives sets a series of events that leads to many dirty deeds to solve the issue.

Comments: One of the best cop novels I’ve read. Thankfully it’s set up to look like another is coming, hopefully soon. A gem of a novel. Highly recommended.
